Rapper Pooh Shiesty sparked chaos online after one livestream moment

Pooh Shiesty sent fans into a panic this week after a brief moment on a livestream triggered rumours that he had been taken back into custody.

The speculation began circulating online after Shiesty’s close associate Bendadon appeared on a livestream. Viewers misinterpreted a short phone conversation during the stream, quickly jumping to the conclusion that the Memphis rapper had been sent back to prison.

Within hours, the claims spread across social media, leaving fans confused about his legal status.

However, Shiesty’s record label has since shut down the rumours, confirming that the rapper remains free.

DJ Akademiks later reported that representatives for Shiesty clarified the situation, explaining that nothing about his custody status has changed.

According to the label, Shiesty is still serving the final phase of his sentence under home confinement. That arrangement will remain in place until April, when his sentence is scheduled to conclude.

The label also explained that Shiesty is officially listed as reporting to a halfway house in Dallas. This is a procedural designation that has not changed. Because he is on home confinement, that status remains the same.

Why Pooh Shiesty was originally arrested

Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Williams Jr., was arrested in 2021 and later pleaded guilty to a federal firearms-related offence.

He was sentenced to prison and served time before being released in 2024 under supervised conditions, including home confinement, as part of the final phase of his sentence.

Since his release, he has been completing that final stage, which is set to end in April.

With the latest clarification now public, Shiesty’s legal situation remains unchanged, and his anticipated release timeline is still on track.
