Rashid refuses to appear before NAB team in Al-Qadir trust case

RAWALPINDI: Former federal interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed declined to comply with a summons from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation team on Tuesday in relation to the £190 million scandal involving the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Rashid conveyed his refusal through a letter addressed to the NAB investigation team, citing his lack of knowledge and any pertinent information regarding the Al-Qadir Trust and the £190 million case. He emphasized that he was not a witness in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

NAB summons former PTI leaders in Al-qadir trust case

In his letter, the former federal minister asserted that the NAB summons requiring his appearance before the investigation team was deemed illegal and should be rescinded.

It is worth noting that the Rawalpindi NAB had instructed Rashid to appear before the investigation team on Tuesday, along with the requisite case-related documents.
