Rawalpindi: 1800 kites confiscated during crackdown

RAWALPINDI: Police have arrested a kite seller and confiscated 1800 kites, 80 strings from his possession here Saturday.

According to the police spokesman, City Police conducted a raid and held the kite seller namely Afzal and recovered 1800 kites from his custody.

Police have registered cases against him and further investigation is in progress. The Station House Officer (SHO) said that other facilitators of the accused would also be arrested.

SP Rawal Faisal Saleem commended the police team’s efforts and said that the arrested accused will be brought to court with solid evidence and will be punished. He said that it is the prime duty of police to protect the lives and properties of people. INP
