Rawalpindi traffic advisory issued for PSL practice match

WEB DESK: Special traffic arrangements have been made to divert movement to alternate routes during the practice match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) which is to be played today at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, according to City Traffic Police.

Over 300 officers and personnel will be deployed for duty, said Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Beenish Fatima adding continuous monitoring will be conducted from the control room, officials added.

Murree Road will be completely closed from Faizabad to Double Road during the arrival and departure of the teams. Traffic coming from Islamabad will be diverted from Faizabad to the Expressway. Meanwhile, traffic heading towards Islamabad can enter via Chandni Chowk, Rehmanabad, and 6th Road using Saidpur Road, said the CTO. Stadium Road will remain closed from 9th Avenue Chowk to the Double Road turn.

Traffic updates and public awareness will be shared through the City Traffic Police’s social media platforms (@ctprwp) and the FM radio station, CTO Beenish Fatima added.
