Rawalpindi: two-member gang of car snatchers busted

RAWALPINDI: The Rawat Police busted a gang of car snatchers gang an arrested its two members during a raid here on Friday.

According to details, crackdown was launched against active member of car snatchers in jurisdiction of Rawat police station in Rawalpindi.

During operation, two members of a car snatcher gang including Bilal Latif and Zahid Mehmood were arrested besides recovery of a snatched Mehran car from their possession.

In the preliminary investigations, the detainees revealed that they used to hire cars, snatch it at gunpoint and escape.

SSP Sadar Muhammad Nabeel Khokhar said that the detainees would be produced in court with solid evidences. He said that accused of depriving citizens of their valuables can’t escape the grip of law. INP
