Realme unveils C85 series with powerful specs, massive battery

Realme C85 launch

Realme has rolled out its latest C85 lineup, unveiling two new models, the C85 Pro and the C85 5G, designed to offer long-lasting performance, bright displays, and modern software at a wallet-friendly price.

Interestingly, the “Pro” model is actually priced lower than its standard 5G sibling, making this launch a bit of a surprise for smartphone enthusiasts.

The Realme C85 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 685 processor, offering 4G LTE connectivity, while the C85 5G comes with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chip, bringing 5G support to the lineup. Both devices feature 8GB of RAM, which can be virtually expanded up to 24GB, and include up to 256GB of internal storage with microSD card support.

The Realme C85 Pro starts at around $245 for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the 256GB version is priced near $270. The C85 5G, available only in the 8GB + 256GB option, is expected to retail for about $290.

Both phones run Android 15 with Realme’s custom UI 6.0, promising smoother operation and a cleaner interface.

Amoled 6.8-inch screen

The C85 Pro comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen that delivers Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness reaching 4,000 nits. The 5G variant uses an LCD display with HD+ resolution but offers a faster 144Hz refresh rate.

Built for everyday durability, both models carry an IP69 water resistance rating. The C85 Pro is slimmer and lighter at 8.09mm and 205 grams, while the 5G version is slightly bulkier at 8.38mm and 215 grams. Colour options include Parrot Purple and Peacock Green.

Camera and battery

Both phones share the same camera setup — a 50-megapixel main sensor at the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera up front. Realme has opted for a simple, user-friendly photography experience rather than overloading the phones with extra lenses.

Powering the devices is a massive 7,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, allowing users to spend more time using their phones and less time plugged in.
