The unfortunate bus was traveling from Bahawalpur to Islamabad. Police found it laying sideways on the roadside in a severely damaged condition.

According to initial reports, the cause of the accident is said to be the brake failure of the high-roof.
Those injured in the accident are said to belong to the same family and were traveling to Fatehpur from Faisalabad.
It may be added here that the rate of road accidents surge exponentially during winter due to low visibility caused by dense fog and smog in parts of Punjab and Sindh. Negligence by drivers adds fuel to the situation, resulting into loss of precious lives.
