WEB DESK: Iconic rock band Bon Jovi is offering fans an intimate look into their 40-year long career with an upcoming documentary “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.”

The four-part documentary is scheduled to debut on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US on April 26. It will explore the band’s evolution from their modest origins to achieving global fame.

The documentary blends archival footage, personal videos, and contemporary interviews to chart Bon Jovi’s ascent in the early 1980s. It traces their transformation from playing small venues to commanding stadiums around the globe.

The documentary offers insights into the band’s creative process and personal dynamics, providing a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of their triumphs and setbacks. It includes interviews with band members, including former members, as well as their managers and collaborators.

In light of their 40th anniversary milestone, Jon Bon Jovi expressed pride in their lasting legacy and hinted at their forthcoming album, “Forever,” scheduled for release in June. He lauded the album as their “finest effort” in more than two decades.

The upcoming documentary series and the album has fans of the rock band excited across all demographics.

The American rock band debuted in 1983 in New Jersey, gaining attention due to the fusion of heavy metal, rock, and pop genres. Bon Jovi would rise to prominence with their 1986 studio album “Slippery When Wet” that sold over 20 million copies. Some of the band’s most iconic songs featured on this album including “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer.”

Succeeding albums witnessed the band exploring diverse musical genres while maintaining their rock persona. The band ventured into the country genre with the release of their 2007 album “Lost Highway”.

Bon Jovi is hailed as one of the most successful rock bands in history with more than 120 million records sold globally. The band was inducted into both the “UK Music Hall of Fame” and the “US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”

Throughout their four-decade journey, Bon Jovi has undergone several lineup changes. Presently, the band comprises Jon Bon Jovi, Hugh McDonald, Tico Torres, David Bryan, and Phil X.
