PESHAWAR – The Sehat Card Plus program has resumed following the allocation of two billion rupees, according to an official notification.
The Provincial Finance Department has released two billion rupees for the Sehat Card Plus program. This funding injection will enable thousands of families to access healthcare services.
The State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC), a state-owned insurance company, had temporarily suspended Sehat Card Plus services multiple times due to delayed fund disbursements.
Sehat Card Plus services suspended in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Sehat Card Plus services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came to a halt due to the provincial government’s outstanding dues. In response, SLIC issued a directive to all registered hospitals in the province, instructing them not to admit new patients under the Sehat Card Plus program.
The unresolved dues, totaling 13.5 billion rupees from the previous fiscal year, have carried over from the previous caretaker government and remain unpaid to date.
