In a funny turn of events, much like the character he brings to life, the trailer on Reynolds’ own channel got three times more views than the official Marvel Entertainment channel’s.

The trailer kicks off with a disgruntled bartender seemingly telling Wolverine to leave, suggesting he’s not the crowd’s favourite. The screen then swishes to Deadpool, who in his usual snarky fashion insists on dragging his “Peanut” along.

When Wolverine dismisses him with a snarky “lady” jab, Deadpool pulls out his signature weapon. In quintessential Deadpool style, he mocks Wolverine’s “whiskey” claws, quipping that they’re “quite common in Wolverines over 40.”

Clocking in at two minutes and 38 seconds, the trailer is pure chaos – everything the fans love about Deadpool. And with the addition of fan-favourite Wolverine, the hype is through the roof.

The movie is set to be the 34th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) during its fifth phase. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the crossover since Ryan Reynolds first hinted at it in 2022.

Deadpool & Wolverine is produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment. Meanwhile, it will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Directed by Shawn Levy, the film stars Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the lead roles. Supporting the duo are rom-com heartthrob Matthew Macfadyen, along with Emma Corrin and Leslie Uggams, among others.

We can finally witness the epic crossover between Deadpool and Wolverine on July 26 this year. Mark your calendars for this movie will be a chaotic treat!
