ISLAMABAD: Ruthless Australia Women sealed a commanding seven-wicket win over South Africa Women after chasing a 97-run target in the 26th ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 clash of SA-W vs AUS-W held at Holkar Stadium on Saturday night.

Earlier in the day, skipper Tahlia McGrath’s top-ranked side dominated with the ball, bundling out South Africa for just 97 in 24 overs. It marked South Africa’s second-lowest total in the tournament, following their 69-run collapse against England Women in Guwahati earlier this month.

Beth Mooney led the charge with a brisk 42 off 41 balls, while Georgia Voll remained unbeaten on 38 as Australia comfortably wrapped up the chase in 16.5 overs. South Africa’s 97-run total proved far from challenging against the composed Australian batting lineup.
