Saeed Anwar disowns ‘fake X account’

ISLAMABAD: Former national cricket team batsman Saeed Anwar has discredited a Twitter account previously associated with him as fake.

In an audio statement, he expressed, “There is a counterfeit account in my name on Twitter, generating statements that do not reflect my views.”

He urges the public not to engage with these tweets.

It’s worth mentioning that Saeed Anwar has been affiliated with a religious group post his retirement from cricket.

Saeed Anwar made his debut in Test cricket for Pakistan against the West Indies on November 23, 1990, in Faisalabad. He bid farewell to Test cricket against Bangladesh in Multan on December 31, 2001.
