Salman Ali Agha hits unbeaten triple century after England snub

Pakistan all-rounder Salman Ali Agha made a stunning return to domestic cricket, scoring an unbeaten triple century in a President’s Trophy Grade-I match after being dropped from the squad for the England tour.

Salman smashed an unbeaten 300 off 336 balls against MIT Solutions, hitting 42 fours and six sixes during his explosive innings.

His triple century helped Kingsmen Academy declare their innings at 565 for seven at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium.

Salman was initially handed the captaincy for Pakistan’s opening Test against England at Headingley. However, he managed only 21 runs in the first innings and was subsequently dropped from the playing XI for the second Test at Lord’s.

Following Pakistan’s defeat at Lord’s, the Pakistan Cricket Board sent seven players back from the England tour, with Salman also among those released.

Pakistan eventually lost the three-match series 3-0 after England won the third Test by eight wickets at Edgbaston.

Salman featured in only the first Test of the series and scored 25 runs across two innings, with his highest score being 21.

His unbeaten 300 in domestic cricket marks a strong response after his early exit from the England tour, with the batter hitting the ball to the boundary 48 times during his remarkable innings.
