Sarah Michelle Gellar and her Ready or Not 2: Here I Come co-stars were forced to rush out of a Paris hotel after a fire broke out during their press tour, triggering a large-scale evacuation.

The cast, including Elijah Wood and Kathryn Newton, had been staying at the luxury hotel while promoting the upcoming sequel when the blaze reportedly started in the kitchen.

Around 400 guests were evacuated from the building as emergency crews responded, with fire trucks and firefighters seen outside the hotel as the situation unfolded.

The incident occurred in the middle of a press junket for the film, adding to the chaos as guests and staff were cleared from the premises.

A representative for the hotel later confirmed that all guests were safe and that the fire had been fully contained and extinguished.

“The hotel, along with all of its outlets, has now reopened,” the statement said, noting that normal operations had resumed following the incident.

Despite the scare, the film’s stars did not address the fire publicly. Newton appeared unfazed in social media posts shared shortly after, suggesting the disruption was brief.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is the sequel to the 2019 hit Ready or Not, with Samara Weaving returning as Grace.

According to the film’s synopsis, her character must once again fight for survival as rival families battle for control of a powerful throne.

The film is set to hit cinemas on March 27, as its promotional run continues despite the unexpected disruption.
