Saudi Chief of General Staff meets Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ

WEB DESK: The Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Monday, where he held a high-level meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of bilateral relations and defence cooperation, emphasising the strengthening of Pakistan-Saudi military ties. The discussions focused on enhancing strategic military collaboration, joint defence initiatives, and cooperation in security and counter-terrorism efforts.
The visit highlighted Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s commitment to deepening strategic defence ties, with both sides reaffirming their resolve to promote military collaboration in the region.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honour to the visiting Saudi Chief of General Staff. The dignitary also paid tribute at the Martyrs’ Memorial, laying floral wreaths in honour of Pakistan’s fallen soldiers.
The visit reflected the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with both nations prioritizing defence cooperation and regional security collaboration. According to ISPR, the engagement aims to further solidify bilateral relations and enhance coordinated efforts in defence, counter-terrorism, and strategic planning.
The meeting reflects both countries’ shared vision of a robust, cooperative military alliance to address contemporary security challenges in the region.
