Saudi Hajj minister arrives in Pakistan on four-day visit

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umra Dr Taufeeq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiya has arrived in Islamabad for a significant four-day diplomatic visit.

The minister, accompanied by a high-level delegation, touched down at Islamabad airport on a Sunday evening.

Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfath Harmony, Aneeq Ahmad, and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Almalki extended a warm reception to Dr Taufeeq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiya upon his arrival.

During this visit, the Saudi delegation is scheduled to engage in fruitful discussions with Pakistani officials, covering an array of topics related to the amenities extended to Pakistani pilgrims embarking on the Hajj and Umra journeys.

Additionally, deliberations will encompass the “Road to Mecca” initiative, a significant project aiming to enhance the pilgrimage experience for Muslim travelers.

The Saudi minister for Hajj’s itinerary will also feature meetings with the president, the caretaker prime minister, and the Chief of Army Staff, symbolising the strengthening ties between the two nations.

Accompanying Dr Taufeeq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiya are prominent figures representing Saudi civil aviation, airlines, and various other departments, a testament to the comprehensive nature of the discussions set to take place.
