QUETTA: The schools in Balochistan have been closed on Saturday due to the destruction caused by heavy rains in the province.
Gwadar, Chaman, and various other areas of the province have been significantly affected.
As per a notification issued by the caretaker government of Balochistan, schools across the province will remain closed for a week due to severe weather conditions.
The heavy rains have caused extensive damage in Gwadar, Kech district, and other regions, disrupting normal life and halting traffic on the Coastal Highway.
The Meteorological Office had previously warned of the potential entry of a westerly wave into Balochistan, which could also impact the northern parts of the country on February 26th.
