Schools, colleges will remain shut in Islamabad tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: All educational institutions including private and public schools in Islamabad will remain closed on Tuesday (tomorrow) due to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally and the prevailing security situation.

The Islamabad deputy commissioner announced the closure of schools, colleges and universities across the federal capital, citing public safety concerns. 

The Islamabad district administration on Sunday issued a notification annoucing the closure of all government and private educational institutions in the federal capital on Monday (today).

Meanwhile, Murree Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi said that both public and private schools will remain closed on Tuesday to ensure the safety of students and staff amidst the uncertain law and order situation. 

“This decision has been taken in view of the current circumstances,” the deputy commissioner said, emphasising the administration’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region.
