Scorching heat grips Lahore; Karachi weather to stay partly cloudy

ISLAMABAD: Lahore remained in the grip of scorching heat on Sunday, with the temperature in the country’s second-most-busy city reaching 40°C, according to the Met Department (PMD).

The PMD said humidity in Lahore was recorded at 39 per cent, making the hot weather feel even more intense.

Meanwhile, Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 34.8 °C, while humidity stood at 64 per cent.

The PMD said Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy, with a chance of drizzle in parts of the city later in the day.
