Scott Wolf breaks silence on ‘hardest year of my life’ after restraining order dropped

Actor Scott Wolf has reflected on what he described as the “hardest year of my life”, following months of legal and personal turmoil linked to his separation from estranged wife Kelley Wolf.

The 57 year old shared the message in a New Year Instagram post, marking the end of a turbulent 2025 that included divorce proceedings and court involvement.

In the caption, Wolf described the past year as challenging but transformative, writing about growth, accountability and love. He added that the experience ultimately deepened his appreciation for family and work, before wishing followers a peaceful 2026.

Wolf filed for divorce in June 2025 after 21 years of marriage. The former couple share three children: Jackson, 16, Miller, 13, and Lucy, 11.

In the weeks that followed, Wolf sought a restraining order amid escalating tensions, later describing the situation as “incredibly difficult and contentious”, while emphasising that his children’s wellbeing remained his priority.

Kelley was later arrested and charged in connection with alleged harassment. During court proceedings, she said she planned to enter treatment.

Court records later showed that a judge ordered a minimum 60-day involuntary psychiatric hold in late September after Kelley was deemed a danger to herself and others. She was later transferred to another mental health facility to complete the remainder of her treatment.

Last month, a Utah court granted Wolf’s request to dismiss the temporary protective order. The case was subsequently closed, and all related protective orders were declared null and void.

Neither Wolf nor Kelley has commented publicly since the dismissal.
