Security forces kill 12 terrorists in Balochistan’s Kharan

ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 12 militants belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan after they carried out multiple attacks in Balochistan’s Kharan district, targeting a police station and banks.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), between 15 and 20 Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists carried out several terrorist attacks in Kharan City area of the district.
The statement said that the attackers targeted the city police station, the National Bank and Habib Bank, looting Rs3.4 million during the assaults.
The ISPR said security forces mounted a strong response, forcing the terrorists to retreat, and killed 12 militants at three different locations during a clearance operation.
It said that the terrorists had planned to create a hostage-like situation at the police station, but the attempt was effectively foiled.
The statement said operations are under way in the area and its surroundings to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence.
According to the ISPR, under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies will continue the counter-terrorism campaign with full force until foreign-sponsored terrorism is completely eliminated.
