Security forces kill 13 Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed 13 Khawarij in five separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to ISPR, on reported presence of Khawarij, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by security forces in the Khulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district.

During the operation, troops effectively engaged the Khawarij location and killed five of them, according to Radio Pakistan.

In two separate encounters in North Waziristan district, fire exchange took place between the security forces in the Dosali and Tappi areas. Resultantly, five Khawarij were killed by the security forces.

In another encounter that took place in Lakki Marwat district, security forces killed two Khawarij.
During an engagement in the Bagh area of Khyber district, troops killed one Kharija.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khawarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as the killing of civilians.

The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR said.
