Security forces kill seven Khawarij terrorists in North Waziristan

ISLAMABAD: Security forces carried out successful operations in North Waziristan on Tuesday, killing seven Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the ISPR, the intelligence-based operations were carried out in two separate locations in North Waziristan.

In the first operation, six terrorists were killed in Mir Ali, while another terrorist was neutralized in Spinwam during a targeted operation. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were involved in attacks on security forces and innocent civilians.

The ISPR said that a clearance operation is ongoing in the region to eliminate any remaining terrorist threats.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their professional conduct and success in the operations.

“The security forces are achieving significant victories in the fight against terrorism,” he said, adding that the entire nation stands with the armed forces in this struggle.

The prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country, highlighting the role of the security forces in maintaining peace and stability.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the security forces for their recent successful operations against terrorists in North Waziristan, saying their professionalism and bravery had once again been demonstrated.

Naqvi praised the forces for eliminating seven terrorists, describing the achievement as a clear blow to the militants’ “evil designs.”

“The security forces have successfully thwarted the nefarious plans of these extremists. I salute their courage and professionalism,” he said, adding that he takes pride in the dedication and competence of Pakistan’s armed and law enforcement personnel.

The minister said the operations reflect the security forces’ significant successes in the ongoing fight against terrorism, emphasizing that they remain fully committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region.

“Our forces are determined to uphold security and protect citizens from all threats. Their unwavering resolve is key to ensuring peace across the country,” Naqvi added.
