Security forces kill seven militants in North Waziristan operation

Security forces have killed seven militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan, recovering weapons and ammunition and destroying several militant hideouts, state broadcaster Radio Pakistan reported on Friday, quoting sources.
According to security sources, the operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence reports. The militants were identified by the authorities as members of Fitna al-Khawarij (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan).
PM Shehbaz praises security forces
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari commended security forces for the operation, while Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised their efforts against militancy.
In a statement, PM Shehbaz paid tribute to security forces for their successful operations against Fitna al-Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said operations against militants would continue until terrorism was completely eliminated from the country, adding that the government remained committed to eradicating the threat.
President Zardari also commended security forces for the North Waziristan operation.
In a statement, he said the conspiracies of terrorists’ foreign sponsors and their local facilitators would be thwarted at all costs.
The president added that the entire nation stood with security forces in the fight against terrorism.
Naqvi vows decisive action
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised security forces for the operation in North Waziristan.
He said the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with security forces in efforts to eliminate terrorism.
Naqvi said militants would no longer find anywhere to hide in the country, adding that indiscriminate and decisive operations against them would continue.
