Seminar highlights role of CPEC in enhancing Pak-China cooperation

LAHORE: The Chinese Consulate and the Institute of International Relations and Media Research organised a seminar aimed to highlight and enhance bilateral cooperation and relations between Pakistan and China.

At the event, participants from both countries, including Punjab Caretaker Minister for Industry and Commerc SM Tanveer and Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren emphasized the significance of fostering economic cooperation and strengthening public engagement.

They highlighted the crucial role of projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in improving the economies of both nations.

The Chinese consul general stated that CPEC marked the beginning of a new era in economic development for China and Pakistan, emphasizing its importance.

Tanveer reiterated the strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries and highlighted the potential for collaboration in various sectors in the Punjab region, such as agriculture, livestock, value-added industry processing, technical education, and more.

The seminar aimed to solidify the strong ties between China and Pakistan, with a focus on the role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in enhancing the economies of both nations.

It also marked the beginning of a new phase in Pakistan-China friendship and mutual cooperation. The seminar featured the participation the Institute of International Relations Chairman Mohammad Mehdi along with professors, scholars, and experts from various universities, all coming together to contribute their insights and expertise to promote the relationship between Pakistan and China and work towards mutual economic growth and cooperation.
