Senior journalist Nazir Naji passes away in Lahore

LAHORE: Senior journalist Nazir Naji passed away in Lahore on Wednesday. His brother confirmed the news, stating that Nazir Naji had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lahore.

Naji had been affiliated with various mainstream media groups for several decades. He dedicated 27 years to the Urdu publication Daily Jang as a senior columnist. Additionally, he formerly served as the chairman of the Pakistan Academy of Letters. In 2012, he bid farewell to the Jang Group and assumed the role of Group Editor at Dunya. The veteran journalist was honored with the Hilal-i-Imtiaz for his contributions and services.
