Senior ministers discuss political, security situation; reaffirm support for anti-terror efforts

ISLAMABAD: A meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and federal ministers representing key allied parties was held in the federal capital to review the overall political and security situation in the country.

The meeting was attended by Chaudhry Salik Hussain of Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), and Khalid Magsi of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).

During the session, participants held detailed discussions on the prevailing political climate and matters relating to internal security. The deliberations focused on the broader national situation, with particular attention given to law and order.

The interior minister briefed the leaders on the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, outlining the steps being taken by the government to ensure peace and stability in the affected regions. He informed them about ongoing measures aimed at strengthening security and maintaining order.

The leaders of the three parties appreciated what they described as the sincere efforts of Field Marshal Asim Munir toward the establishment of peace in the country.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Khalid Magsi also reaffirmed their parties’ full support for the security forces, declaring that they stand shoulder to shoulder in efforts to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan.
