September update: Govt announces minor Rs1.86 per litre reduction in petrol price

ISLAMABAD: The government on Saturday reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.86 and Rs3.32 per litre respectively, for the first two weeks of September.

After the reduction of petrol prices in Pakistan on August 31, the new price of petrol from September 1 will be Rs259.10 per litre, while the price of diesel has been set at Rs262.75 per litre.

The price of kerosene oil has decreased to Rs169.62 per litre, while the price of light diesel oil has been reduced to Rs154.05 per litre.

The reduction in petroleum product prices tonight marks the third consecutive decrease.

The prices of petroleum products will remain effective from September 1, 2024, to September 15, 2024, until the next review scheduled for September 15.
