Seven terrorists killed near Pak-Afghan border: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Seven terrorists were killed by the Pakistan Army as they attempted to infiltrate near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.

The military’s media wing stated that on April 16 security forces detected the movement of a group of seven terrorists attempting to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Spinkai area of Ghulam Khan, North Waziristan District.

According to ISPR, security forces surrounded the terrorists and in an intense exchange of fire, all terrorists were eliminated.

The statement further noted the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased terrorists.

Emphasizing Pakistan’s persistent calls to the Taliban-led interim Afghan government, the statement urged for stringent border management measures on the Afghan side.

The military urged the interim authorities to fulfill their responsibilities and prevent the exploitation of Afghan territory by terrorists for carrying out attacks against Pakistan.
