Several meat sellers held for overpricing in Bannu

BANNU: Several butchers were arrested for overpricing their customers in different areas of Bannu on Monday. According to details, Assistant Commissioner Bannu Syed Ibrar Ali Shah personally visited the markets and checked the prices of commodities, especially meat.

During the AC’s visit, several butchers found involved in selling beef for Rs800 per kg against the government fixed rate of Rs680 per kg were arrested.

Deputy Commissioner Bannu Shah Saud has issued clear instructions to not only impose heavy fines on shopkeepers involved in profiteering but also arrest and send them to jail besides sealing their shops.
