Shah Mehmood Qureshi detained at Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was scheduled to be released today from Adiala Jail, after his bail was approved in cipher case.

However, according to latest reports he has been detained in Adiala Jail for 15 days. Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi issued the detention order, on the advisory of CPO Rawalpindi.

The justification offered by the authorities for detaining him is that he is under investigation for his involvement in May 9 events under 3MPO, sources added.
