Shahid Afridi’s sister passes away

KARACHI: Sister of former cricketer Shahid Afridi passed away early Tuesday morning due to protracted illness in Karachi.

Shahid Afridi shared the sad news on his social media X account.

(إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ,)
Surely we belong to Allah and to him we shall return.
With Heavy hearts we inform you that our beloved Sister passed away and her Namaz e Janazah will be at 17.10.2023 after Zuhur prayer at Zakariya masjid main 26th street… https://t.co/Ly4sK6XVGT

The funeral prayers of the deceased will be held today after Zuhr prayers in Karachi Phase 8 Zakariya Mosque.

The cricketer earlier had requested prayers for his ailing sister who was admitted in the hospital due to deteriorated health.

According to Shahid Afridi, his sister is fighting for her life.

Shahid Afridi on his  post wrote, “I am travelling back to see you soon my love, stay strong. My sister is fighting for her life right now, I request you to make Duas for her health, it will mean a lot. May Allah gives her speedy recovery and a long and healthy life Ya Rabb”.
