Shahid Khaqan Abbasi not angry with Nawaz


LONDON: Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday said that he is not angry with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif. He made those comments while talking to the media after meeting Nawaz in London.

“I have come on a personal trip, I am not anyone’s messenger”, said Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Abbasi said that he has a 35-year long association with Nawaz.

Talking about the events of May 9, Abbasi said, ‘’It is up to the government to bring the responsible of the May 9 mayhem to justice”.

He further said that he believes that the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif for life was unfair adding that he does not believe that politics is about revenge.

Earlier in August,  said that Shehbaz Sharif holds the responsibility to be accountable to the entire nation, given his role as the former premier of Pakistan.

During his appearance on a Samaa TV program, Abbasi expressed his concern over the utilization of outdated census data for the upcoming elections, deeming it an “unjust” practice.
