Shaza holds key meetings with Saudi, Sri Lankan IT leaders to boost digital cooperation

WEB DESK: Information Technology and Telecommunication Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja held separate high-level meetings with Saudi Minister of IT Abdullah Al-Swaha during the AI for Good Summit and with Hans Wijayasuriya.

During the meetings, the IT minister discussed expanding cooperation in the IT sector with both Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.

During her meeting with Saudi leaders, both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in emerging technologies, with Shaza saying that the IT partnership between the two countries is steadily growing.

The meeting between Pakistan and Sri Lanka focused on digital economy growth, e-governance, and artificial intelligence sovereignty. It was also highlighted that Pakistan’s IT exports to Sri Lanka reached $424,000 in fiscal year 2025.

Both sides agreed to enhance IT sector cooperation and share best practices to further strengthen digital ties.
