Shehbaz Sharif heads to Turkmenistan to attend International Year of Peace

ASHGABAT: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif headed on Thursday for a two-day official visit to Turkmenistan to participate in the International Year of Peace 2025 forum.
Upon arrival at Ashgabat International Airport, Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet and Minister of Transport and Communications, Mohammad Khan Chekiyev, received the premier and his delegation.
The prime minister will participate in the forum held in Ashgabat on the International Year of Peace and Confidence 2025, the World Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
Shehbaz Sharif will also hold bilateral meetings with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdymukhammedov, as well as with global leaders attending the forum.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Energy Minister Owais Khan Laghari, Information Minister Atta Ullah Tarar, and Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi and Talha Burki are accompanying Shehbaz.
