SHO dismisses Jamshed Dasti’s allegations of harassment

Jamshed Dasti

ISLAMABAD: Station Police Officer (SHO) City Muzaffargarh Khurram Riaz has rejected the allegations of politician Jamshed Dasti who said that his residence was raided and his family was harassed by police.

In a video released on social media, Riaz said that Dasti’s allegations were false and baseless, and that no such incident had taken place. He added that Dasti’s wife had submitted her nomination papers for the upcoming provincial election on Saturday without any interference or intimidation from the police.

Riaz also said that Dasti was trying to malign the police and create a law and order situation in the district. He urged the public not to pay attention to Dasti’s propaganda and to maintain peace and harmony.

Dasti, who is the leader of the Awami Raj Party and a former member of the National Assembly, had accused the police of raiding his house and harassing his family members.

He had also demanded an inquiry and action against the police officials involved in the alleged raid.
