Breakthrough in GPB190m NCA case

Islamabad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has handed over crucial documents related to the secret deed to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation team.

According to Hum Investigation Team head, Zahid Gishkori, the NAB team has now possesses a copy of the confidential deed of settlement between the NCA and the Malik Riaz family signed by the government of Pakistan in 2019.

The signing of this secret deed involved the participation of then chief of the Asset Recovery Unit (ARU) Shahzad Akbar along with his team members.

The document, signed in November 2019, holds crucial details regarding various bank accounts and properties involved in the case.

Efforts are underway to gather the perspectives of Shahzad Akbar, Malik Riaz family, and government on the matter.
