Sindh declares public holiday on April 4

KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on April 4 to mark the death anniversary of former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, according to an official notification.

The holiday will be observed across the province on Saturday, the notification said, adding that all public and private educational institutions will remain closed.

It further stated that government offices, local bodies and other institutions operating under the Sindh government will also remain closed on the day.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who founded the PPP, remains a significant political figure in Pakistan’s history.

His death anniversary is observed annually, particularly in Sindh, where the PPP maintains strong support.
