Sindh govt announces holiday for educational institutions on Shab-e-Barat

KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a holiday for all educational institutions across the province on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

The Sindh School Education Department issued an official notification stating that all public and private schools will remain closed on February 4.

The notification in Sindh said that the holiday will apply to both government and private schools.

According to the notification, the holiday will apply to all educational institutions so that students and teachers can participate in religious prayers and observances associated with Shab-e-Barat.

The closure will be followed by a public holiday on February 5, observed as Youm-e-Kashmir, meaning educational institutions in Sindh will remain closed for two consecutive days.

Earlier, the Punjab government had also announced a holiday across the province on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
