Sindh govt announces public holiday on April 4


KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday in the province on Thursday, April 4, on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

The Sindh government has also issued a notification regarding the public holiday.

The government of Sindh has been pleased to declare April 4, 2024 as public holiday on occasion of 45th martyrdom of anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, ex-prime minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan throughout the province of Sindh for all government office, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of government of Sindh except those engage in essential services,” read the notification.

Separately, the government has announced a holiday for Christian government employees on Monday, April 1, in celebration of Easter.
