Sindh lifts ban on recruitment in government depts

KARACHI: The Sindh government issued a notification on Tuesday a notification to lift the ban on recruitment on hiring in all departments of the province.
The Chief Minister of Sindh has directed that the restrictions on hiring imposed by the courts should also be lifted.
A cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was held. Provincial ministers, advisors, chief secretary, chairman of the P&D, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, and relevant secretaries attended the meeting. During the meeting, the Sindh cabinet approved the lifting of restrictions on hiring in all departments.
The Chief Minister of Sindh has ordered the Minister of Law and Advocate General to lift the ban on recruitment in the courts.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister revealed that projects worth $100 million have been initiated with the cooperation of donor agencies for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Improvement Project (KWSSIP); the KWSSIP project aims to provide clean water and enhance the infrastructure of the Water Board.
He further disclosed that the overall cost of the KWSSIP project will be shared by the World Bank (40 per cent), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (40 per cent), and the Sindh government (20 per cent).
