Smog restrictions lifted: Schools to remain open, notification issued

Smog holiday Punjab

LAHORE: In a positive turn of events, the Punjab government has announced the lifting of smog-related restrictions originally slated for the upcoming weekend.

This decision comes in the wake of a notable improvement in the smog situation, attributed to a recent spell of rain in Lahore, which has led to a significant enhancement in the Air Quality Index.

Notably, Lahore has dropped to the seventh position on the list of the most polluted cities.

The smog restrictions on schools have also been lifted and they will remain open on Friday and Saturday.

The Punjab School Education Department has issued a notification of the opening of schools on Friday and Saturday.
