A young woman, who works as a social media content creator, has alleged that she was gang-raped at gunpoint in Lahore’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA), prompting police to register a case and initiate a search for the suspects.
As per Dawn, according to police, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at Defence C police station against two men identified by the complainant. Investigation teams have been formed to locate and arrest the accused.
In her statement, the victim said she produces promotional content for social media platforms. She alleged that one of the suspects contacted her online, offering a collaboration for a promotional video and asking her to visit a studio.
The complainant stated that she, along with a female associate working in a similar field, went to the location shared with her in DHA. Upon arrival, the suspect allegedly picked them up in a car and took them to a private apartment, where another individual was already present.
She further alleged that both men held them at gunpoint, subjected them to physical assault, and sexually assaulted her. The suspects also allegedly issued threats to deter her from reporting the incident to authorities.
Police officials confirmed that a case of gang rape has been registered, while raids are being conducted to apprehend the suspects. No arrests have been made so far.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
