GARHI KHUDA BAKSH: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that some politicians play with the country for their personal ego, causing harm.

Speaking at an event in Garhi Khuda Baksh to commemorate the death anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had contributed significantly to Pakistan.

He said that the former premier championed the rights of farmers and the common people, and under his leadership, Pakistan became a nuclear power.

Bilawal asserted that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s legacy continues to live on.

He also highlighted that today, PPP’s leaders hold key positions in two provinces. He said that the PPP holds the chairman of the Senate portfolio and Asif Zardari has been elected president for the second time.

Bilawal further mentioned that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s slogan of “roti, kapra, makan” (bread, clothing, shelter) remains relevant, and the Supreme Court’s decision in the Bhutto case was a victory for democracy.

He criticized politicians who prioritize personal interests over the nation’s welfare, emphasizing that all political parties should work within the boundaries of politics. Instead of playing the game of sit-ins, Bilawal urged dialogue and cooperation to avoid causing distress to Pakistan’s people.

He asked all political parties to focus on the “charter of reconciliation” instead of confrontation.
