Soyem of HUM Network BoD Chairman Mazharul Haq Siddiqui to be held today

WEB DESK: The soyem of Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HUM Network and one of Pakistan’s most senior civil servants, will be held in Karachi today.

The gathering will take place between Asar and Maghrib prayers at Masjid Usman Ghani. His funeral prayers were offered on Friday.

Siddiqui was widely respected as an eminent educationist and seasoned bureaucrat, having served in several key positions within the Government of Pakistan. Over the course of his career, he held the offices of secretary education and secretary finance, and also served in the services and general administration department.

He later took on prominent roles in the education sector, including as vice-chancellor of the University of Sindh and chairman of the Sindh Madressatul Islam Board and Quaid-e-Azam Public School.

He was the elder brother of Sultana Siddiqui, President of HUM Network.

Mazharul Haq Siddiqui is remembered for his longstanding contributions to public service and his pivotal role in strengthening Pakistan’s education system.
