Spectacular opening ceremony of PSL 10 held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

RAWALPINDI: A grand opening ceremony of the 10 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The event began with the national anthem in a stadium packed with enthusiastic spectators. A flying superhero circled the venue and presented the PSL trophy to Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer. A 3D model of Minar-e-Pakistan was also showcased on the ground.
Popular actor Hamza Ali Abbasi took the stage to reflect on PSL’s 10-year journey. This was followed by a soulful performance by legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen, accompanied by an impressive 3D animation display depicting the essence of Sufism.
Later, musical band *Young Stunners* energized the crowd with a thrilling performance, as rappers Talha Anjum and Talha Yunus lit up the stage. Their act concluded with a dazzling fireworks display.
Superstar Ali Zafar made a dramatic entry in a jeep and received loud applause for his multilingual songs. His performance also featured another round of stunning fireworks.

The official anthem of PSL 10 was performed during the ceremony, featuring vocals from Ali Zafar, Abrar-ul-Haq, Natasha Baig, and Young Stunners.
It is worth mentioning that the opening match of PSL 10 will be played between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
Rawalpindi Stadium will host a total of 11 matches including the opener, while Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches, including the final on May 18.
Karachi and Multan will each host five matches, and a special exhibition match is scheduled in Peshawar on April 8.
The tournament will span 37 days, from April 11 to May 18, featuring a total of 34 matches and six participating teams.
