Sadaqat, Farhan star as Pakistan post 215 against Sri Lanka in second T20I

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s in-form batters Maaz Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan starred with 96 and 73 runs, respectively, as the hosts posted a total of 215 against Sri Lanka in the second T20I.

Earlier, Sri Lanka elected to field first, sending Pakistan in to bat.

Pakistan opened with Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman. However, Fakhar managed only 22 runs, just one more than his previous day’s score.

Farhan and Sadaqat then anchored the innings, building on their impressive performances in the opening match of the three-match series, in which they scored 89 and 50 runs, respectively.

Pakistan had chased down Sri Lanka’s 183-run target in 18.5 overs in the first T20I at Rawalpindi Stadium on October 9, 2026.

Farhan continued his fine form, scoring 73 off 44 balls, including four boundaries and five sixes. Sadaqat, meanwhile, smashed six boundaries and seven sixes to contribute 96 runs.

Fakhar struck four boundaries in his 22-run knock, while middle-order batter Hasan Nawaz remained unbeaten on 19 as Pakistan completed their innings.

For Sri Lanka, Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana and Nuwan Thushara picked up one wicket each.
