WEB DESK: In a significant move to bolster regional stability and economic integration, Pakistan hosted a high-level Senior Officials’ Meeting featuring representatives from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt.
The diplomatic gathering in the capital served as a platform to reaffirm deep-seated bilateral ties and align perspectives on pressing global developments, according to The News.
A vision for structured cooperation
The proceedings were highlighted by a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and the senior delegates from the participating nations.
During the session, Senator Dar underscored the necessity of moving beyond traditional diplomacy toward a structured framework for cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that the collective focus must remain steadfast on three pillars: peace, prosperity, and sustainable economic development.
By synchronising their strategic goals, the four nations aim to create a formidable bloc capable of addressing regional challenges through unified action and shared resources.
Paving the road to Antalya
This quadrilateral meeting does not stand in isolation; it represents a crucial stepping stone in a rapidly evolving diplomatic calendar. It builds directly upon the foundations laid during the Consultative Meeting of Foreign Ministers held on 29 March 2026.
The discussions in Islamabad serve as a formal preparatory phase for the upcoming Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, scheduled to take place in Antalya on 17 April 2026.
This next stage of dialogue will be held on the sidelines of the prestigious Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where the four nations are expected to solidify their joint strategies on the international stage.
