WEB DESK: A police mobile van was targeted in a suicide bombing in Lakki Marwat on Sunday, injuring multiple personnel. The blast occurred near the Kotkhel Adda area, close to the Tajuzai police station. Initial reports indicate that several officers were wounded in the attack, which police officials have described as appearing to be a suicide bombing.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured personnel are currently being transferred to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting a police mobile van in Lakki Marwat. He offered prayers for the forgiveness of the martyred police officer and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
Directing authorities to provide immediate medical care to the injured, the Prime Minister also prayed for their swift recovery. He declared that the nefarious designs of the terrorists will be crushed, reaffirming his government’s unwavering resolve to completely eliminate the terrorists who are enemies of the nation’s innocent and defenseless citizens.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police mobile van in the Lakki Marwat district, stating that maintaining law and order is the government’s foremost priority.
He paid tribute to a police officer who was martyred while confronting the terrorists, asserting that the sacrifices of police personnel will not be in vain. “The provincial government stands firmly with the police,” Afridi declared, adding that such cowardly attacks cannot demoralize their resolve.
