WEB DESK: Most parts of the country are expected to experience a dry spell on Sunday, with colder weather gripping the nation’s hilly and northern regions, particularly during the early morning and late-night hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said.

According to the latest outlook, going region by region, residents in Islamabad and its surrounding areas can anticipate a dry day, though temperatures are likely to drop noticeably at both ends of the day.

In Punjab, the weather will remain largely dry across the province. Murree, Galiyat, and nearby high-altitude areas are set to feel a sharper chill, maintaining cold conditions throughout the day. The plains of Punjab, however, continue to struggle with persistent smog, which is expected to linger, reducing visibility and air quality. Light fog may also appear in scattered locations during the morning and night, adding to travel difficulties.

Sindh is also likely to see dry weather in most districts, with no significant change anticipated.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry conditions will prevail as well, though the province is bracing for a considerably colder trend, especially in the morning and night when temperatures are expected to dip more sharply.

Balochistan will follow a similar pattern, with dry weather dominating most areas. The province’s northern districts, however, are expected to experience very cold conditions during early and late hours.

Farther north, Kashmir is forecast to remain cold and dry, with temperatures dropping to very cold levels overnight. Gilgit-Baltistan is also set for a cold and dry day, with particularly harsh cold expected during the morning and nighttime.

Overall, Sunday’s weather presents a calm but increasingly chilly picture nationwide, with dry skies prevailing and cold pockets intensifying across hilly and northern regions.
